Orca One 0.1.0 (Build 42)
October 11, 2026
Reliable meeting recovery
Keep meeting transcript status accurate after recovery finishes, and retry saved audio when a temporary file error interrupts recovery.
Microphone reliability
A busy microphone queue no longer incorrectly stops meeting transcription.
Clear Summarize handoffs
See what was copied and how to paste it before opening your chosen AI app. The instructions also explain where the summary will appear.
Disk-space guidance
Get clear guidance when disk space runs out during dictation or an update. Update settings distinguish a failed installation from a failed check.
Model verification
Use less memory while verifying downloaded models, with expanded file integrity checks.
Current purchase information
Open current pricing from License settings, with one-time purchase and lifetime access information.
Updating to Build 42
Open Settings → General → Updates and choose Check for Updates. Open the available update, review its release notes, then choose Install Update. The sidebar update action also opens the release window. Existing notes, downloaded models, settings, licenses, and permissions are retained.
Private update notifications
Orca One includes a manual update check and optional background checks every four hours. Checks fetch a small signed public appcast without sending an account, license, installation, device, analytics, or content identifier.
You stay in control
A newer compatible DMG downloads only after your explicit choice. Sparkle verifies the signed feed, DMG signature, and Apple code-signing identity, then replaces Orca One and relaunches it. Recording and other protected work postpone the relaunch until it is safe.
Release integrity
The DMG is Developer ID signed, notarized by Apple, and stapled for offline Gatekeeper verification. Release metadata is signed and matched to the published download by SHA-256. Requires an Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 15 or later.
